Starting with this chapter, I’m trying to devote more time to backgrounds to help flesh out the scenes a bit more.

It goes without saying that I dislike backgrounds in the same way that most people would dislike having a glowing, white-hot piece of metal rested on their (most-sensitive-body-part here).

Still, for all that frustration, I can’t say it doesn’t help to at least get a bearing for where they are. Especially if they’re expected to return to this scene now and again. So, for now, get used to this place. 😉

Having said that, it’s pretty safe to say that Karen probably hasn’t really thought this through very well. But, considering there are a lot of out-of-the-ordinary things going on for her, I’d be inclined to give her a bit of a pass. At least for now.
